Step by Step Guide to Managing Artwork

The Manage Artwork link in located in the Artwork subheading of the Artwork and Content Section of your Control Panel takes you to the visual representation of the Folders and Artwork that make up your website. Your Manage Artwork page can be used as a great way to quickly review the way you've organized your website. You can also use it to navigate to the Folders and Artwork that you wish to edit or update.

  • Use the drag & drop feature to move things around (images from folder to folder, or within a folder, or you can move entire folders around on the site).
  • To expand all of your Folders, click on all of the little plus (+) signs to expand them so that they look like little minus (-) signs.

  • Click on Edit to change or update each Folder and Artwork.
  • If you want to Delete an image (be very sure before you do so, as deletions are permanent!), you can do so by using the Delete button on the far right.
  • To Delete an entire folder, you must delete all of the images within that folder.
  • All OPP websites are made up of Folders and Artwork, beginning with the Home Page Folder. Each Folder can contain other Folders or Artwork. Providing a title and description for each Folder and Artwork helps visitors navigate your website and helps you keep track of your own work on your site when editing and updating.
  • You may organize your website any way you wish. You might divide your work into categories based upon theme, medium, or year created. For example, your Home Page Folder might contain Folders called “Photography,” “Installation,” and “Performance.” In this example, each Folder would contain Artwork according to the medium-based categories selected.
  • Keep in mind that creating too many Folders inside of Folders can be frustrating to viewers. Carefully consider the navigability of your site as a visitor to the site when “nesting” Folders.
