We do not create any space at the top of the zoom images so that people with smaller window sized or screen resolutions will not have to scroll to see the image and/or it will not appear cut off. As you know, there is far less vertical than horizontal “real estate” on a computer monitor, so we don't want to waste precious image space on a blank buffer at the top.
