If you've been directed by OPP change the nameservers for the domain you want to use for your OPP site and already own — your domain registrar can help out. Because each domain registrar's process is different, we unfortunately cannot provide you with this specific information.
Changing the nameservers is a common process though, and your registrar will definitely be able to change them for you or tell you how to change them. Don't worry, though the process may sound unfamiliar, it's easy!
Your domain registrar is the company that sold you your domain name. If you do not know who your domain registrar is, please check your records for the name of this company and then locate their contact info online. If you're still not sure, try a WHOIS search for your domain name to see if a registrar is listed.
If you are setting up a new website with OPP and want to move it to your domain, please log in to your Control Panel. You will find the step-by-step walk through on how to point your pre-existing domain name to your OPP website as well as the nameserver info there.
Otherwise, our nameservers are:
ns1.deeperbydesign.com
ns2.deeperbydesign.com
Remember, nameserver changes can take a while to spread web-wide. If you do not see your website at your domain in a few hours, please clear your browser's cache and reboot your router and DSL/cable modem.
It's possible that you can't see your site because the DNS/nameserver change hasn't spread to the nameserver that your Internet Service Provider is using. As the set-up instructions in your Control Panel said, it generally takes 48 hrs for the change to spread web-wide.
Provided that you have waited at least an hour or so, it's also possible that there is something local going on on your end that's preventing you from seeing the site. Two suggestions:
1.) Clear the cache on your browser and/or restart your browser. You can find out how in your browser's help section. It may be storing old data for your domain name.
2.) Reboot/turn off and restart your cable/DSL modem and router (if you have one). Keep them off for a few minutes, and this will clear the stale DNS info out of them.
You have not yet finished the process of setting up your new domain to point to your site. You need to return to your Control Panel and confirm that you have made the nameserver change. Once you have done this, your website will switch to being located at your real domain name.
Sounds like you have forwarded your domain name to your OPP free trial address. This is definitely not how you want to do things. :)
Please log out of and then back into your Control Panel. You will find the step-by-step walkthrough on the correct way to point your pre-existing domain name to your OPP website there.
If you have paid for and activated your website, but it is still at the trial domain name, then you have told us that you own your domain already and still need to set it up.
