Domain Transfers

I want to transfer my domain to OPP while I use your services. Can I do this?

Unfortunately not. We are not ourselves a domain registrar and use a third party company when we purchase domains. In the past, we have found that managing the domain transfer between a customer and *two* third party registrars (one of them often unwilling to be helpful, since they are losing business) is a painful and unpleasant process, that has left both us and the customer unhappy.

For this reason, we request that if you already own a domain, that you maintain it where you currently have it registered. If cost is an issue, your domain should really only cost $10-15 per year. If you're paying more than that or you're unhappy with the current registrar for whatever reason, you should be able to transfer the domain to another less expensive registrar.

The other option is that we are always happy to buy and manage a new domain for you.

Sadly, I'm leaving OPP. I'm ready for OPP to transfer my domain into my ownership.

Just follow these easy steps carefully, and we can give the domain to you. You must do this at least ten (10) business days prior to your account expiration date. If you have any questions about your account, you can email support@otherpeoplespixels.com for more information.

Please Note – this is the only way we can give you ownership & control of your domain. We cannot transfer to another registrar. We can only transfer the domain to you, via a Namecheap account. Once the domain is in your Namecheap account, you can then work with Namecheap directly to move to another registrar. OtherPeoplesPixels is not associated with Namecheap.

1.) Go to Namecheap.com and sign up for a free account. Jot your username down.

2.) In your new account, click on “Profile” at the bottom of the black bar on the left.

3.) Click on Personal Info and add your address. Fill in your address and phone number, then click the red “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen. If you do not do this, the domain cannot be pushed to your ownership.

4.) Then click on Security. Look for the “Incoming Invitations” section, and click “Edit”.

5.) Be sure that the checkbox for “To accept ownership of domains” is checked off, then click “Save Changes”

6.) That's all! You do not need to initiate a transfer or anything else.

7.) Email the username you created for the account to support@otherpeoplespixels.com. We can then push the domain to your Namecheap.com account, where it will be yours to do with as you wish.

This process means that we will be transferring the domain from our management over to your complete ownership & management. This means that you will be in charge of the domain, just as if you purchased it yourself. You will become responsible for any renewal and registration fees. Domain registration fees with Namecheap are usually around $10-15 USD per year, but you should contact them directly for your exact pricing.
