Simply click Manage Artwork in your Control Panel, then the Folder or Artwork you want for your new Thumbnail. On the Update Artwork Page, click the Browse Button where it says, “Replace this Thumbnail image with another.” Find the thumbnail image file that you created on your computer's hard drive. Finally, click the Update button.
When you upload a thumbnail on its own (for a folder or a custom thumbnail), you can control the exact look by uploading a 100×100 pixel image. Alternately, if it is larger than 100×100 pixels or a non-square dimension, the image will auto-resized and cropped by our system.
As you may have noticed, some people have thumbnails with words on them, telling people about the contents of that folder. How did they achieve this seemingly magical feat, you may ask?
It's simple, really. If you'd like to achieve this same look, you need to create custom thumbnails for your folder thumbnails with text on them. You can create these thumbnails in any image editing program, such as Photoshop, or
MS Paint.
After creating your Text Thumbnail, simply click Manage Artwork in your Control Panel, then the Folder or Artwork you want for your new Thumbnail. On the Update Artwork Page, click the Browse Button where it says, “Replace this Thumbnail image with another.” Find the thumbnail image file that you created on your computer's hard drive. Finally, click the Update button.
